IDENTIFYING BARRIERS TO USING EARTH OBSERVATIONS FROM SPACE

Summary

Thirty six organisations were selected to represent the Earth Observation sector in Europe. From these, 60 project managers were identified for interviews. In the scope of the project, a common questionnaire was designed to interview those Earth Observation data users and 265 requirements were captured in this way. These were analysed and synthesised in a set of workshops, where priorities were defined, based on a combination of the primal requirements. The policy of the European Centre for Earth Observation was established, taking into account those priorities.
